Together again, yeah we're together again

Elder Price is finally off his mission and back into real life! Hooray! After a quick trip home to Champaign to get officially released, Mom whisked our Lil' Brudder away to sunny California (or somewhat sunny) for some R&R and to see his favorite sisters. Krystle and Kendra traveled hundreds of miles through slush and sleet - miles and miles through harsh conditions and one with a baby in her arms - to gather in California with Kara, Kathryn, Mom and Grandma Joyce. We were very sad the Washington Prices couldn't make it. Kirk and Lindsay we missed you! I don't know about everyone else, but I wish I could see little Emily say "I'm a beast!" and to squeeze little Dallin's cute cheeks! We missed you terribly, but no lie, we still had a lot of fun. Here are some pictures of the trip!

Friday was the first day we were all together. Unfortunately it rained ALL DAY. So we made the best of it and went to the mall! I was a little bias in this decision, but it did give the kids a chance to run around without destroying Kathryn's or Kara's home. Plus Mom and I went to the MAC store so it was totally worth it!

The next day we went to Balboa Island and we took the ferry. I think this was one of Mom's favorite, it reminded her of when we first moved to Southern California and took the family to Balboa Island. Dad kept saying that we were going to take the ferry, but we didn't see any ferry. Where were the 200 car ferries that we rode in Washington?? This didn't make sense! All we saw was the dinky little platform. Even as we were pulling away from the docks Kenneth and I kept asking about the location of the ferry Dad had promised.
Jared was so excited to be on the water he couldn't pull himself away to look at the camera! Good thing Uncle Kenneth was there to help.

The whole gang on the "'Ferry"
One of my favorite attractions on Balboa Island. There's ALWAYS MONEY IN
THE BANANA STAND!!!
No one was as excited as Daryn to get some ice cream!
Mom was so happy that her kids were getting along!
Jared was VERY serious about his ice cream
Kayden loved her frozen banana
Elder Price!
Daryn didn't want to let Krystle have a bite
Krystle loved getting her picture taken
More please!
Just a little more?
Jared doesn't look to sure about his crazy Auntie with her camera.
Spirit Fingers!
After Balboa we got to visit Grandma Joyce in Lancaster! We had such a great time playing instruments and looking through Grandma's pictures.

Thank you Mom and Dad for letting us go to California! It was a blast!

Kenneth coming to California!

Get ready, California family! Kenneth is flying into town with Mom at 12:30pm today! Jared is on pins & needles waiting for this great uncle to visit. What should we do first? Special lunch at In-N-Out? Visit the old family home? Cruise to the beach? Go to Balboa Island & ride the "ferry"?

Elder Price! *Spoiler Alert*

Run run Elder Price!
"I gonna getch-you" -Claire

(And this is only a preview of this weekend. Imagine FOUR sisters plus brother-in-laws plus neices and nephews!!!!)

Since the Thiels live just next door to the Houston East Mission we had the opportunity to visit Elder Price (and other missionaries getting released) at the mission home on Tuesday for their last FHE with the Mission President and his wife.

Sister and President Moldenhauer (sp?)

The girls LOVED him! He played hide and seek, chase, drew smiley faces on their fingers to keep them quiet, stuck stickers on their heads. He's pretty much up there in the running for a "favorite uncle". Daryn kept smiling at him - overall he made a very good first impression with her. (NOTE: The photo above was taken at about 9pm... I don't take responsibility for the girls' photogenetics when it's past bedtime.)(And no, I don't think it's the lighting, the rest of us really are that pale in comparison to Elder Kenneth)

Big Smiles!

Kenneth played the music for the Opening Hymn, Special Musical Number, and the Closing Hymn on his violin.
You could tell his music was much appreciated on the mission. And even though he says he "hasn't practiced, only played" you know this boy has mad skills. Jump back!

Elder Price's Last Week in Texas!

It is official -- Elder Price will be in the Houston East Texas Mission only one more week! By next Wednesday, he will be met by Mom & Dad, get bombarded by hugs, then link up with Krystle, Kendra, Kara, Kathryn and Grandma Joyce in California for a family visit. We are all so proud of you, Elder Price! Selfless service. Don't you wish every 19 to 21-year-old (or 21-22 1/2-year-old) would have this kind of life experience? We love you, Kenneth! Get ready for a Price Family showdown, or hoedown, when you get into town! You'd better believe he's bringing his fiddle. The rest of us had better brush up on our mad playing skills -- and our Spanish language skills. We have missed our littlest brother a LOT these past 2 years! Thank goodness for email!
