Getting closer!
Almost Christmastime! This week our Houghton cousin, Brittany, is getting married (Dec. 15th) in the SLC temple. T&K will be traveling to Illinois on Thursday. Gma Joyce will travel to AZ on Thursday before driving up to SLC with Val, Bethany & Mike. For those in Utah, on Saturday, try to attend the luncheon or pictures at the temple. It might be a long while before we see the east coast family again!

Thankful for Grandma Joyce

Kathryn, Tom, Jared, Kendra and Kenneth visited Grandma Joyce's house the day after Thanksgiving. We both hosted a meal at our homes the day before, so this worked out perfectly. We enjoyed one of Kendra's pies together and caught up before Kendra and Kenneth had to leave to make the long trek back to school, work, and the football game.
And Jared found Grandma's backscratcher...

The Feast

At the great feast...Look at those beautifully folded napkins (Kenneth's hidden talent!). He also made a pumpkin cheesecake and homemade salad dressing. Kendra made pies, helped with the turkey, rolls, cleaning -- pretty much the right-hand woman! Kara & Chuck brought 3 kinds of delicious potatoes and 2 types of cute kids. We're thankful we were all able to be together. Kendra and Kenneth made it back in time to work and watch BYU beat UofU in the annual grudge match.

Halloween and beyond!

Hi everyone! I thought I'd just update you all on the happenings at BYU. Kenneth and I have been having a great semester. We are taking one class together so I can keep an eye on him and make sure he's not playing too hard.
Here are some pictures of this semester. The first two are Halloween. I was a gold digger. I figured I needed to start looking out for my future (kidding, kidding). And Kenneth was the blackout ipod guy. Note that he is surrounded by a gaggle of girls, not something unusual for Mr. Kenneth Price.Next week we are headed down to California to spend Thanksgiving with Kara and Kathy and their little families. I'm really excited for it and can use the break from Provo and school. It's been pretty intense. But only a month left of being a BYU student! Which is so weird. I don't know if I'm ready to grow up and become a real person.
And just for fun I'm including some pictures of this semester. This beauty was taken after True Blue Football where I played in blue foam with friends. We slide down the hill, tackled and tried to get as blue as possible. It's a great BYU tradition!
This one is from Texas Day. My friend Helena and I were bored one day so we dressed up like Texans, spoke in accents and ate fried chicken.
And this is Kenneth's very first day of school. How cute.

Kathryn's Concert

Kathryn played in the South Coast Symphony concert on Nov. 9th. Grandma, Uncle Mark and Beatrix came all the way to hear it. The soloists were fantastic. And it was SO nice to have family in the audience. I just realized a week after the concert that the soprano was Miss California 2006. Ha ha! No wonder she was so amazingly friendly and pretty!

Emily's Blessing

Emily had her baby blessing in September. Mom and Dad were able to be there for the event. Lindsay's mom wrote the following on the Baxter Family website, http://www.baxgen.com/:
"Emily's baby blessing was very special. She wore the dress Becci, Natalie and Lindsay were blessed in. This made grandma B very happy. She also wore the slippers that cousin Lia was blessed in, which made aunt Kirstin happy too. The two grandfathers, Mike and Jeff were in the circle along with other friends of Lin and Kirk. Emily was blessed to be healthy and strong, to do well in school and to increase in intelligence, to be a benefit to her family and friends, to be kind and helpful to her future brothers and sisters. She was also blessed to gain a strong testimony of the Gospel and to serve well in the callings she may receive in the Church. It was a wonderful blessing and a precious experience for us all to participate in."

South Coast Symphony
Just found out that Grandma, Uncle Mark & Bea are coming down to see the SCS concert on Friday night! The concert is a good one; the Saint-Saens Organ Concerto, Rococo Variations with solo cellist, a FANTASTIC soprano doing some show-off pieces, and a modern guitar concerto that actually grows on you and is very enjoyable. Plus the USC fight song (all the soloists are from USC). The acoustics in the Lake Hills Church hall are great, so be prepared to be blown away by that organ!
Thanksgiving
What are you grateful for? We are most grateful for a wonderful family that has fun together and enjoys every moment together. We are grateful for all the precious children that are being born, and for grandparents who love so unconditionally. The more we see of the world, the more obvious it is that we are particularly blessed with our family. Thank you, Mom & Dad for working so hard to make it so!

Morrows at Trunk-Or-Treat
Halloween

Jared sitting between Braden and Noah. Lizard costumes were popular in our neighborhood this year. We're grateful for Kara lending us the much-complimented skunk outfit!
Yes, he had to "sit" on every pumpkin in the patch. Well, it was better than throwing them!
Tom and I went for uber-easy parent costumes this year. All it took was a safety pin!

Our little stinker.

Our friend Lanay took this photo as we rode the train at Irvine Regional Park. Jared couldn't be happier.

Family Phone List
Shout out for the Price Family Phone List. I'll be sending them out in November (so we all have them in time for Christmas Cards). If you have a preferred email or a new cell phone, let me know. Thanks so much.
The "Chaos" Group

Here's the crew we hang out with on Monday mornings. Jared is in the green shirt - matching his friend Braden. These are the 4 toe-heads in the group, there's about 7 other kids you don't see in the picture! We love hanging out at the Johnson's house. It's especially great for us moms.
Elder Price - Called to Serve

On Monday evening at 9:30pm MST, Kenneth opened his mission call amid a plethora of friends and family.
The result (dum-dum-dummmm) is the Houston East Texas Mission! Spanish speaking! Looks like we'll lose one of our best to the greatest state. And we all know not to mess with Texas.
Our whole family is so excited about this news. Kenneth, I mean, Elder Price will be a fantastic missionary. We'll send him lots of sunscreen and treats for the kids down there. Best of all, he'll be the first boy in our family to benefit from the DearElder.com business.
When does he report to the MTC??? January 30, 2008. We are extra thrilled that all of us siblings will be with Elder Price for Christmas and to see him off. What a great adventure!

Change of Address
Krystle, Nathan and Claire are moving to Riverside, Illinois in 3 weeks!
Kirk and Lindsay (with baby due in August) are moving to the Vancouver, Washington area in 3 weeks!
Kenneth is moving to the BYU Helaman Halls dorm in 1 week!
Kendra is in a sweet little condo in Provo, working weird hours and always on Facebook.com.
Kara, Chuck, Corbin & Kayden live in Mission Viejo, California and keep busy with work, school, swimming lessons, baseball, walking (Kayden!) and trips around town with cousins.
Kathryn & Tom are staying put in Lake Forest, California. Jared still love the movie "Cars" and often asks if we "memmer" (remember) certain events in the file. He just got a twin size big boy bed in his room.

Let it Begin!
Our family is growing and moving about the country as never before. This forum exists because we are genetically incapable of mailing letters or cards on time and our phone calls are sporatic (though helped through Verizon's family plan). This should be a place where we can share laughs, news, the latest addresses and photos of our cute Price babies.
