Laura at two months. Lanay Swanson came over and worked her magic at our house and look what she came up with! Amazing. It makes me wish for a better camera (and some photography talent).

Kara's father-in-law

Kara's father-in-law, Chuck Morrow, had a serious lapse at home on Monday, fell unconscious and has been in critical condition this week, unable to respond. He made a turn for the worse yesterday. It doesn't look like he'll make it through. The decision was just made today by his wife Kelly and his side of the family to remove him from life support tomorrow (Sunday).

It's been a hard to put our minds around this despite Chuck's health failing for so long in so many ways. Kara had to do CPR on him until the paramedics came and they said she did a great job. Chris and Kara have been very open with Corbin about what's happening. It will be a big change without his grandpa there at the house. Kelly, Chuck's wife, will be inundated with visiting family and difficult decisions this week, so anything we can do as family, even from afar, is helpful.

Chuck will be cremated and ashes probably put on a baseball field, since his passion was baseball. When we find out more about those plans, we'll keep you updated.

Well we tried...

We tried to get the girls to sit next to each other for a nice loving Valentine's Day picture and this is what we got:

Daryn gets too excited with Claire around and it usually involves hair pulling. This was as close as Claire was going to get. Actually kind of reminded me of all of us growing up... Nostalgia...

Here's some videos of the kids. I know, I know, I'm subjecting you to home videos, but these are some of our "better" moments of late and we like to put on a good face. They sure beat documenting green poos, snot-encrusted faces, and screaming in terror at the sound of running water :)

Daryn is getting solids these days, and has been refusing to eat pretty much anything but here's one success:

And Claire... Well she's 2. And she dressed herself that day. I, however, insisted on the undies and the sweatshirt.

One month

It has been one month since Laura joined our family! Here she is.
