So cute

So here are some pictures Krystle sent me of herself and Claire. I really like this first one because it seems like Krystle finally took my advice and is training Claire to work for her supper. She might not enjoy it now, but she'll thank you in the future. Plus, with the new baby on the way Krystle will need all the help she can get. The least Claire could do is to sweep the floors. Don't worry, she'll get use to it, her tears will lessen over time. I hope you enjoy the rest of the pictures. I know I did. Since we are so spread out it's difficult to keep up to date with Krystle's pregnancy and everything but it looks like she is doing great! Our little fatty, sigh, so cute.

Like Father, Like Son

Jared doesn't do sippy cups anymore, but he was more than willing to show Uncle Steve his original "hands-free" technique. Tom didn't want to be left out.
And, joy upon joys, Jared's cowlick has appeared - a perfect copy of Tom's.

I was born to snowboard

Here is the evidence that I actually got up while on my first snowboarding experience! We went up to Solitude in Little Cottonwood Canyon outside of Salt Lake on the last day of the season. It was really warm and so the snow was a little slushy, but that made it softer when I fell down. And I fell down A LOT. A LOT. I spent most of my time on my tush or on my knees and got many sympathy nods and smiles from more experienced skiers and snowboarders alike. Even the little kids came up to reassure me. One little boy came and showed me his new skis and told me to keep trying - he was 4. And his younger sister was learning to ski at 2. I felt super cool. BUT, every story has a bright ending. By my 4th run of the day I finally got it and was able to stand and go down a hill without wiping out every 3 seconds and it was great! Maybe next season I'll be better....

Hiking Multnomah Falls..yippie!

Tuesday, April 15, 2008

The day before Easter at Grandma Joyce's house. It was fun to visit, eat and play with the dogs, Buck and Spitz. Jared was both intrigued and scared by Buck, which was fun to watch. He didn't like Buck stealing his sticks away!

Gratitude Campaign

We're not a political family, but this was very touching. It was passed on by Sam Ozuna, our friend in Foothill Ranch.

"Recently, a gentleman from Seattle created a gesture which could be used and has started a massive movement to spread the word. Take just a moment to watch.... The Gratitude Campaign ... and then forward it to your friends! Click on below. http://www.gratitudecampaign.org/shortmovie.php (or paste into your browser...you'll be glad you did!)"

pictures of my trip to Washington

As you know, I've been super busy with my super cool job at Longview Fibre. And one of the big bonuses of working for a corrugated paper container company is that I get to travel! On my many travels I get to visit with Kirky-pooh, Lindsay-pooh and their little banshee Emily. Here are some pictures. I know that Mom is really jealous that I get to see her grandbaby more than she does, so here is the next best thing.
